What is the difference between QuickFit and Quick Release?
QuickFit is a system used by many newer Garmin Watches. This is a clasp which is attaches to the built in pin on the Garmin Watch. The mechanism moves away from the watch.
Quick Release includes the pin as part of the strap. You will find the pin has a small piece which can be moved left/right. This releases the strap and pin from the watch itself. It can then be re-attached by aligning with the watch.
Easy checking method:
Does the pin stay with the strap or with the watch. If the watch, it is most likely QuickFit.
26mm, 22mm, 20mm, 18mm, how do I know?
Traditionally bigger watches will have a higher mm strap. You can find this written sometimes on the back of the original strap.
However, we recommend using our guide to find the correct sizing for you.

Guide: How do I know my Garmin Watch Strap Size?
The Traditional Sizes
The width and length of the strap are essential for a proper fit. To find the right size, measure the lug width of your watch—the distance between the lugs (the extensions of the watch case). Choose a strap with the same lug width for a secure and comfortable fit.
All FAQs
How do I replace a Traditional watch strap?
Most watch straps are attached using spring bars—small metal pieces that can be removed with a spring bar tool. If your watch has a standard spring bar system, you’ll need this tool to detach the old strap and secure the new one. Some modern straps feature a quick-release mechanism, allowing you to change them easily without any tools.
You can find spring bar tools at The Time Club if required.
Please be aware that we do not fit watch straps and if you're unsure or prefer professional assistance, you can visit a local watchmaker, who should be able to fit most watch straps for you.
How do I choose the right watch strap?
It's important to consider style, comfort, and price when choosing a strap. For example, fabric straps are breathable and lightweight, making them ideal for warm climates or active lifestyles.
I want to add another hole, is this ok?
You can add an extra hole to your strap using a standard leather punch. However, please note that once a hole has been added—whether by us or the customer—the strap is considered "customised" and is no longer eligible for return.
If you do not own a leather punch, you can usually find assistance at local watchmakers or retailers such as Timpsons.
